Tamworth’s MP, Christopher Pincher, has pledged to take action to support the 800,000 people living with dementia across the UK.

Mr Pincher joined 200 other MPs and representatives from Alzheimer’s Society in Portcullis House, Westminster to help make their constituency dementia friendly so people with dementia can play a full role in their community.

Christopher Pincher said, “As one in three people over 65 will develop dementia, it is important that we raise awareness and help make Tamworth a dementia friendly community. Many people don’t know enough about Dementia and it is vital that we support organisations such as Alzheimer’s Society to improve diagnosis, and to ensure that those affected receive the reassurance and support they need.”
