Tamworth’s No Trick or Treat Here Card Displayed in Northern Ireland

Friday, November 8th, 2013

NoTrickOrTreatTamworth Conservative’s No Trick or Treat Here cards proved to be so popular; they were not just displayed in households across Tamworth they were also in windows in Northern Ireland’s capital city Belfast over Halloween.

As well as putting the No Trick or Treat Here cards through the letterboxes of local residents, Tamworth Conservative Association posted the card on their Twitter feed and Facebook page and Eimhear Macfarlane messaged the Association from Belfast saying, “A great idea!  We’ve never celebrated Halloween in our house so wish our constituency in Northern Ireland had something like this!!!”

After receiving the link to print off the No Trick or Treat Here card, Eimhear messaged all of her friends with details of the card, “Great idea from Tamworth Conservatives!  Some people don’t celebrate Halloween and are still plagued with everyone else celebrating.  So here’s a great way to opt out!  Just print off this poster for your window.”

Cllr Andrew James said, “We knew that the No Trick or Treat Here cards are popular with the residents of Tamworth after seeing so many on show since they were first delivered back in 2011, but we never expected to have our leaflets displayed in another town let alone another country.  This proves the positive power of both our literature and we will continue to send out our message through the letterbox, the Association’s website, Twitter feed and Facebook account.”

Tamworth’s Conservative MP, Christopher Pincher, added, “It is nice to think that a “do not disturb please” innovation that began in Tamworth has gone national.  Where next?”
