Christopher Pincher Retains Tamworth with Increased Majority
Christopher Pincher has retained the Tamworth Constituency for the Conservative Party with an increased majority of 11,302.
Speaking in the early hours of Friday morning after the election result had been declared Mr Pincher said, “I would like to thank my agents and all the people who have campaigned for me and with me over the last several months. There are too many to mention individually, but you all know who you are.
“Can I also thank my fellow candidates for the way they have conducted themselves during this campaign, particularly the Labour candidate, Carol Dean. Carol has worked hard as a County Councillor for our town and I’m sure she will continue to do so.
“But most of all can I thank the people of Tamworth for reinvesting their trust in me. Five years ago I made a speech saying it was the honour of my life to serve as Member of Parliament for Tamworth and now, having been re-elected, I will do my utmost to deserve that trust.”
